Report a record problem

Send the exact model, region and a source. Submissions enter the editorial queue; they do not change a published verdict automatically. You can also email feroz@devlifecheck.com.

What makes a correction easy to verify

  • The exact model number and region — for example SM-A546B (International) rather than “Galaxy A54”. Many phones have regional or carrier variants with different update schedules.
  • A primary source — the manufacturer’s support or security page, a regulator notice (CPSC, EU Safety Gate, UK OPSS, Health Canada) or an EPREL registration. News articles and forums help, but cannot replace the official source.
  • The claim that is wrong — the field (security end date, OS upgrade, latest firmware, recall, repair score) and what the source says instead.

What happens after you submit

  1. The submission is stored in the editorial queue with a reference number.
  2. An editor checks the cited source against the exact model and region.
  3. Confirmed changes are published with the new source and check date, and the previous value is kept in the record’s public revision history.
  4. If the source does not support the change, the record stays as it is and the reason is noted.

Corrections never change a verdict automatically, and affiliate relationships never influence one. Read the methodology, source registry and changelog for how records are reviewed.
